Associate Design Engineer (Civil / Structural Engineer)

Location: Ipswich or Norwich – plus Hybrid working

Remote working considered on a case by case basis.

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including profit share bonuses.

Summary

A successful multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a experienced and motivated Civil / Structural Engineering professional to join their team.

Based in their Ipswich or Norwich office with plenty of opportunity for hybrid working this role is ideal for individuals with a background in an engineering consultancy environment who are ready to take on their next challenge.

Working on predominantly rail civils, and to a smaller degree, civils structures projects. For example, platforms, canopies, bridges, buildings, retaining walls

Key Responsibilities

– Manage projects from initial concept through to the construction phase. – Perform and oversee design work related to , highways, rail and private sector projects. – Attend client and site meetings as needed. – Conduct surveys and site inspections. – Assist with staff training and mentor trainees and graduates.

Seeking some with:

– Experience in structural engineering in a relevant industry. Ie. Rail, Civils, Highways, Structures, Marine – UK based experience – Civil / Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification. – Strong communication skills and the ability to follow and interpret instructions clearly. – Track record of delivering projects through all design stages and construction. – Full driving license.

Ideally:

– Professionally qualified with the ICE or IStructE. – UK experience on similar projects. – Has experience of acting as CRE.
